Kp-7: Area of a regular hexagon is 216 √3 sq units. A pyramid of the height 6 units is formed upon the regular  hexagon. Find the slant surface area of the pyramid?




 

Kp-8: A right triangle with its sides 5 cm, 12 cm and 13 cm is revolved about the side 12 cm. Find the volume of the solid so formed?

 





Kp-9: A semi-circular sheet of metal of diameter 28 cm is bent into an open conical cup. Find the depth and capacity of cup?

 




 

Kp-10: A right triangle, whose sides are 15 cm and 20 cm, is made to revolve about its hypotenuse. Find the volume and the surface area of the double cone so formed.

(Use = 3.14)

 





 

Kp-11: The height of a cone is 30 cm. A small cone is cut off at the top by a plane parallel to the base. If its volume be 1/27 of the volume of the given cone, at what height above the base is the dissection made?

 

 





Kp-12: (a) The radii of the ends of a bucket of height 24 cm are 15 cm and 5 cm. Find its capacity?

(Use = 22/7)

(b) Also find the surface area of the bucket?
